Restoring Your Sentimental Items After a Fire Loss
Sometimes after a loss contents are deemed "unsalvageable" due to their small monetary value however, sometimes these contents have the highest sentimental value to our customers. After a fire it's customary for an insurance company to make decisions whether it is more economical to clean and restore contents or to go ahead and pay to replace them. After they have done their review and it turns out to be more cost effective to replace then those contents are deemed "unsalvageable".
This scrap book was removed from a house fire by our restoration crew and because it was covered in soot and smoke, the scrap book was deemed "unsalvageable". This customer is a widow and the photos inside contained memories of her and her husband throughout their years together. Our cleaning team took it upon themselves to clean the scrap book along with every photo inside in order to return it to the customer.
